We want to learn Autistic Adults experiences with social motivation; as in how they think, feel and behave in relation to the social world. For example: the number and quality of their friendships, their motivation in socializing with new people, their involvement in social activities, etc. in order to inform a model of social motivation in Autistics Adults as characterized by them.
Researchers: Dr. Aparna Nadig and Kouro-Maïram Baro (Master's student)
Who can participate: Autistic adults aged 18 to 35 years old living in Canada;
With an official diagnosis of autism;
Without an intellectual disability,
And who understand and can communicate in French and/or in English.
What’s involved:
1. Input on the written interview questions (remote via an online form – 30 minutes maximum).
2. Interview (in-person at our lab near McGill metro or by videocall according to your preference – 2 hours maximum).
3. Feedback on a Social Motivation questionnaire that will have been elaborated thanks to the interviews (remote via an online form – 30 minutes maximum).
